Monocouche is a coloured render pigmented all the way through and applied as a single-coat system. Because the colour runs through the material it never needs painting, and it holds its look with minimal maintenance. We offer it alongside sand and cement, acrylic, silicone and insulated systems.

A rendering machine delivers material at a constant rate, so coverage is even and the joins between mixes disappear. Hand application still has its place on repairs, but on full elevations machine application gives the flatter, more uniform surface you can see in our photos.

Flat enough that raking light from a window or lamp shows no ridges, trowel marks or hollows. That is the standard we work to on every skim, and it is the difference between a freshly decorated room looking sharp and looking patchy.

Slightly, yes. Render looks darker when wet and lightens as it cures, so do not judge the final shade in the first week. Colour-through systems settle to their intended colour once fully dry.

Crisp internal corners, straight beads at edges and openings, no ripples under raking light, and clean junctions where walls meet ceilings. Photographs of finished work show most of this honestly, which is exactly why we publish ours.

They are a good guide to the level of change you can expect, especially on tired brick or dashed exteriors. For an exact picture we visit your property, talk through the finish options and give you a written quote for your specific walls.

It depends on the wall behind the finish. Older solid-wall houses often suit breathable modern systems, while sand and cement remains the right call for some repairs and matching work. We recommend the finish that suits the building rather than a default answer.

Beads and patience. Edges are formed with the correct stop and angle beads, fixed straight and true, with weatherproof detailing around openings on exterior work. It is slower than freehand, and it is why the lines stay crisp for years.
